Look, Steve B, there have been ample opportunities for the Republcan Establishment to distance themselves from the Circ de la Freak dominating the Tea Party movement. But rather than distancing themselves, the Republican Establishment has been fanning, if not outright embracing, the fringe freak flames. Hell, the Tea Party Circ de la Freaks are Sara Palin's base.

This group makes Independent moderates look to the Democrats as Republicans embrace the group. This is not good for the pitarty nor for America. That is over stating the truth. There are plenty of normal run-of-the-mill conservatives in this group. Unfortunately there are also some fringe people who are giving the whole a bad name.

The Tea Party movement consists primarly of conspiracy-theory freaks who listen to "Coast to Coast AM" and believe Timothy McVeigh was an American hero. No respectable conservative would or should association with them. Republicans embrace these freaks to their own peril.
